Statement of Faith
I. The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, written by men moved by the Holy Spirit. Their original writings were supernaturally and verbally inspired, free from error, and are unlike any other texts in history. The Bible is the complete and final revelation of God’s will to man, making it the supreme authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and living. Therefore, any additional prophetic revelations or apostolic signs are unnecessary and unbiblical.
We affirm the historicity and clarity of the Bible's record of primeval history, including:
- The literal existence of Adam and Eve as the progenitors of all people.
- The literal fall and resulting divine curse on creation.
- The worldwide flood.
- The origin of nations and languages at the Tower of Babel.
II. The True God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father
- Perfect in holiness, boundless in love, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power.
- Mercifully involved in human affairs.
- Hears and answers prayer.
- Saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
- Creator of the universe, including mankind, all living beings, and the earth in six literal solar days.
God the Son
- Jesus Christ is God the Son, preexistent with the Father.
- Fully God and fully man.
- Born of a virgin, sinless in life, and infallible in teaching.
- Died as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world.
- Bodily resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and continually intercedes for His people.
- Will return again in glory as promised.
God the Holy Spirit
- A divine person who:
- Convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.
- Regenerates, sanctifies, indwells, comforts, and empowers believers in Christ.
III. Man
We believe that:
- Man was created in God’s image on the sixth literal day.
- Through sin, man incurred both physical and spiritual death (separation from God).
- All humans are born with a sinful nature and become sinners by choice upon reaching the age of accountability.
IV. Satan
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan, who opposes God and His children. He was created by God but fell from Heaven. His destiny is sealed: he will be cast into the Lake of Fire.
V. Salvation and Assurance
- Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again, offering salvation to all who receive Him by faith.
- Believers are justified by His blood, born again of the Holy Spirit, and become God’s children.
- We affirm the eternal security of every true believer.
VI. The Church
- The visible local church consists of baptized believers in Christ who unite for worship, fellowship, and Gospel ministry.
- The church observes two ordinances:
- Believer’s Baptism
- The Lord’s Supper
- The church is tasked with spreading the Gospel and edifying its members.
VII. Last Things
We believe in:
- The bodily resurrection of all the dead:
- The saved to eternal life in Heaven.
- The unsaved to eternal, conscious suffering in Hell.
- The blessed hope: Christ’s personal, premillennial, and pretribulational return to rapture His church.
- After the tribulation, Christ will return with His saints to establish His millennial reign.
VIII. Church and State
- Every individual is directly accountable to God in all matters of faith.
- Each church is independent and autonomous, free from any external religious or political control.
- We support a clear separation of church and state, recognizing their different God-given roles.
IX. Christian Living
- Believers are called to live a Spirit-filled and Christ-centered life.
- We believe in a separated life that avoids:
- Worldly alliances
- Carnal pleasures
- Unbiblical practices
- Secret societies
- Separation includes rejection of:
- Theological liberalism
- Neo-evangelicalism
- Neo-orthodoxy
- Ecumenism
- The charismatic movement
- Every believer is responsible to evangelize the lost worldwide in obedience to the Great Commission.
X. Biblical Creationism
- God created the heavens and the earth according to Scripture.
- All creation—including mankind—was brought into existence through special creation over six literal days.
- Man was created in the image of God as a unique being in the universe.
