About Dr. Christian Wei

Dr. Christian Wei was saved on September 10, 1978. A colleague in the Taiwan military brought him to a church started by a faithful GFA missionary, Mrs. Myriam Faust, and her adopted son. Through the conviction of the Holy Spirit, Dr. Wei was soon saved.

In 1980, he was called to preach.
In 1986, Dr. Wei graduated from the Orient Fundamental Bible College in Taiwan and was ordained to preach by Dr. Bob Jones, Jr. at his graduation.

God continued to lead and direct Dr. Wei for His service. In June 1986, Rev. Christian and his wife Judy left Taiwan for Bob Jones University to pursue further Bible training.

  • In May 1987, he received his M.A. in Theology.
  • In May 1992, he earned a Ph.D. in Theology from BJU.

Ministry and Mission Work

In September 1987, Dr. Wei founded the Chinese Bible Church in Greenville, South Carolina.
As the church grew, it launched a missions department to support missionaries. With further growth, the church established a missionary organization to send missionaries to Chinese communities worldwide.

In 1992, Chinese For Christ International was founded as the first branch under the broader Christian Way Missions, Inc. (CWM). CWM also includes India For Christ International.

Dr. Christian Wei still serves as the President of the mission board.

Founding of EUCON and Christian Education

In 1998, Dr. Wei recognized the need to train pastors and preachers of house churches in China. As a result:

  • Christian Bible Church Biblical Baptist and
  • EUCON International School of Saipan were founded.

In 2002, Dr. Wei founded EUCON International College (now EUCON International University) to provide "2T training" (certificate program) for pastors and preachers of Chinese house churches.

Since 2004, a few hundred pastors and preachers have been trained—each reaching up to 1.8 million Chinese Christians.

In 2013, Dr. Wei initiated the Christian Educators’ Training to build the foundation of the Christian Education Movement in the 10/40 window.
